Laurel

Hey there, my name is Laurel!

I was raised in the sunny state of Florida but was actually born in Washington. After finding my way back to the beautiful PNW, I graduated from The Evergreen State College in 2011. I started working in emergency veterinary medicine as a kennel assistant. Which then transitioned me into working with a mobile veterinary radiologist as an assistant. One thing lead to another (as life sometimes does) and eventually I had the opportunity to work in a specialty hospital. Critical care medicine will always hold a special place in my heart. However, gaining experience in neurology, surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine was equally exciting! This field is my “happy place” in life.

My husband and I are super outdoorsy – camping, hiking, gardening, traveling – there’s just too much of the world to see! Our little family includes 2 human babies- a girl and a boy. We are proud parents of many fur and feather babies: Steve the rescue border collie mix, Tyke the parvo-surviving border collie, Gary our rescue Pyrenees, George our bottle fed cat, and Oliver my shower-singing Amazon parrot. Plus a myriad of farm animals! It’s quite a crew, but they are my crew!
