Dr. Susan Wada has been practicing veterinary medicine in Spokane since 1995 and joined our staff of doctors in 2009. She is a 1992 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. Before moving to Spokane, Susan practiced in Manhattan Beach and Torrance, CA.

Dr. Wada and her husband Lyle (a professor at Whitworth University) are the proud parents of two beautiful golden retrievers Sonny and Emi, a boisterous Moluccan cockatoo named Joey, and three speedy tortoises, Casey, Shelly, and Maggie.

Her practice interests include small animal medicine, dentistry and exotics.  With a passion for all animals, Susan has had the opportunity to work with many different animals including kangaroos, sea lions and a baby giraffe.  She is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association and Washington State Veterinary Medical Association.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets and relaxing at the lake.  She is an orchid enthusiast and is a member of the Spokane Orchid Society.
