We're very excited to announce our newest team member! Dr. Heidi Patterson will be joining us starting in 2019!
We're growing with the new year, we are now offering extended hours, open until 8p Mon-Thur, and bringing on a new doctor to offer you more availabilty!
Here is a brief introduction to our friendly new face:
Dr. Heidi Patterson was born in NJ, but raised on a small family farm in Tennessee surrounded by cows, chickens, and many barn cats. She decided to be a veterinarian by the age of 5, and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 after working in a human genetics lab for several years.
Dr. Patterson moved to Colorado just after graduating from veterinary school, and worked as an associate vet in general practice seeing small animals and exotics, and was a staff veterinarian in an animal shelter. Shelter medicine remains one of her passions, as spaying and neutering dramatically reduces the number of animals euthanized in shelters every year. Her areas of interest include pain control, internal medicine, and cytology. She also greatly enjoys working with geriatric patients.
As a recent transplant to Spokane, Dr. Patterson has enjoyed exploring her new home state by hiking, snowshoeing & camping with her partner, Charles, and their big lab mix, Moose. They also share their home with one Chris Farly-esque cat named Ein and one sweet old lady cat named Bucky.
Welcome to SouthCare Dr. Patterson!
